Background

This planning application was orginally granted Planning Permission on the 30^th June 2016, with further material and non-material amendments passed on the 23^rd March 2017 and 7^th February 2019, although no obvious work on the site has taken place after those dates.

Three new applications have been submitted since. These are as follow:

APPLICATION No. WNC/23/00039/WASLAP

PROPOSAL 

Certificate of Lawfulness for Proposed Use or Development for an anaerobic digester facility pursuant  S.73 permission re 17/00037/WASVOC as amended by Non-Material Amendment ref 18/00049/WASNMA

The background to this is that the original proposer is no longer trading and a new developer/operator has come forward to take up the project. The rationale is that the planning permission is still Extant and can still lawfully go ahead.

APPLICATION No. WNC/23/00041/WASVOC 

PROPOSAL

Variation to Condition 2  (Revised Approved Plans/Drawing of planning permission 17/00037/WASVOC as amended by Non-Material Amendment ef. 18/00049/WASNM

The Planning Statement associated with this application details the amendments and Appendices show graphically the layout changes. Whilst minor in detail they do include the introduction of lightning conductors which are now required under new safety regulations.

APPLICATION No. WNC/23/00043/WASVOC

PROPOSAL

Variation of Condition 2  (timing of access construction and off-site highway improvements works ) of Planning Permission ref. 17/00037/WASVOC, as amended by Non-Material Amendment ref. 1800049/WASNMA

This refers to ‘delaying’ the inclusion of the A508 turning off and joining splays at the outset of heavy vehicle movement (principally earth moving and concrete mixers) but will be completed ahead of actual construction – and operation thereof – of the AD plant.
